The Director of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the sales department, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of sales processes. Working closely with all departments to align business strategies and ensure consistent delivery of products or services that meet customer needs with proven success working in the environmental services industry. A strong background in hazardous waste, lab pack business and industrial and field services is necessary for this role.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Developing plans to meet sales goals, establishing sales territories and quotas, and coordinating sales distribution
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating the sales team, and providing training to improve their skills
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to improve the customer base
  • Collaborating with marketing to create campaigns that increase revenue and the client base
  • Maintaining accurate records and sales reports
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture within the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Lead major client negotiations and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and sales operations teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Provide valuable input to product development based on market demands and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with sales operations and finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and plans.
  • Monitor performance against forecasts and implement adjustments as needed.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, while projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price in accordance with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Work with Operations teams to implement targeted sales strategy
  • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Understanding of how to position products against competitors

Required Qualifications :

  • 5 years leading Sales Teams within a growing organization
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, master's degree in business administration preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a Team in a fast-paced environment.
