What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Business Unit Director position at Clark Hill Law?
Clark Hill is looking for an Associate Business Unit Director for the Litigation Business Unit to be located in either Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Philadelphia or Pittsburgh. Responsibilities for this position include: (i) assisting with financial planning and reporting in areas such as expense management, bill rates, and billable hours; (ii) participating in business development and marketing projects; (iii) talent acquisition and development such as interviews, onboarding and offboarding documentation, and new hire integration; (iv) operational effectiveness, including but not limited to, creating and monitoring dashboards, implementing the firm’s compensation model, planning periodic BU meetings and preparing the supportive documents, and acting as a key support in process improvement initiatives; and (v) focusing on an understanding of organizational compliance standards and process, including reviewing client/matter intake forms, working with the Credit and Collections team to ensure client payments, and overall risk management. The successful candidate will likely be at a management level and have people responsibilities. Candidates must possess a basic level of business and financial acumen, and emotional intelligences, along with proven effective decision quality and have strong analytical skills. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree plus two to four years of experience in business management or law with preferred experience working in Finance, HR, or Marketing and Business Development.
The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $100,000 - $140,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
