What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Trade Analyst position at Clark Hill Law?
The International Trade Analyst’s substantive focus will involve U.S. import regulatory and related matters, including Department of Commerce (DOC) and International Trade Commission (ITC) antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) proceedings, U.S. Customs and Broder Protection administration and disputes, and other unfair trade remedies (e.g., 232, 301 and 201 proceedings). The Analyst will also participate in on-site verifications of clients and provide support the International Trade Business Unit to meet critical deadlines within established guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
- Assists attorneys in advising clients in completing DOC and ITC questionnaire responses (including sections A through D (cost), APO filing procedures, and Commerce verifications.
- Assists attorneys in the drafting of case and rebuttal briefs for DOC, as well as pre- and post-hearing/conference briefs for the ITC.
- Assists exporter clients in setting up AD/CVD monitoring systems to optimize compliance and lower AD/CVD exposure.
- Maintains electronic and paper files for AD/CVD cases in a clear and organized manner.
- In collaboration with attorneys and paralegals, analyzes, identifies, monitors, and conducts regular internal records management and administrative document archiving reviews and evaluations.
- Under the direction of attorneys, interacts regularly with clients, vendors, and government agency employees.
- Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts regarding matters of a complex nature. Requires patience, creativity, and discretion.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS suite and SAS (Statistical Analysis Software used by the DOC to calculate AD margins) to produce quality written communications such as memos, spreadsheets, slides, and standard work documents.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel to independently produce complex reports.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort while meeting deadlines and managing workload.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic, and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
