- Requires hands-on and technical knowledge in operating CNC Mills &/or CNC Lathes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience CNC SET-UP Operator required.
- Must have good math skills; High School diploma or GED completion.
- All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
- Good communication skills.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of CNC Mills &/or CNC Lathes.
- Thorough knowledge in tool management, setup and offset tooling.
- Have knowledge of jigs, fixtures, dies, and jaws.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Proficient understanding and usage of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Ability to hold tight machine tolerances in a production environment.
- Ability to inspect/validate machined part dimensions and make adjustment to machine and tooling as required.
Summary
As a CNC/Lathe Set-Up Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components in a manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, your role is vital in ensuring high-quality output through effective blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the use of precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Your strong communication skills and basic math abilities will support collaboration with team members and adherence to quality control standards.
