Maintains operating condition of all equipment, building, and facility grounds. Position is required to complete simple repairs. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, assisting and responding to general building maintenance items that include, but are not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, wall, door and ceiling repairs, security & Fire systems, pest control program, landscape program, office relocations, and general safety systems. Employee is required to conform to company policies and all local, state, and national codes. Will also ensure facility is in compliance with all local building codes. Experience should also include vendor management and contract negotiations for property management services. This position will require the employee to work with various departments on a regular basis, while at other times working without supervision. This position will also require being on call for emergencies related to the building.

Essential Functions
- Oversee various projects involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems including installation and repositioning of production and facility equipment
- Coordinate and define preventative maintenance program on all factory equipment to assure effective production capacity is available to meet business plan
- Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain production equipment such as hoists, air compressors, sanding booth, paint booth, welders, presses, fixtures, and other related items such as shelving, racks, fans, office partitions, and equipment.
- Perform Routine maintenance of facility heating, cooling, telephone, plumbing, lighting, fire protection and electrical systems as needed.
- Rework specialized parts and tools as needed in production or by the facility. Drill and cut per print or directions from Production Manager.
- Prepare facility for meetings and functions by setting up various equipment (i.e. audio/video equipment, seating etc)
- Participate as a member of safety committee and green team. Carryout assignments given by these two committees relating to safety and environmental protection.
- Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair and electrical to ensure that the facility is operating safely at all times.
- Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to complete required tasks.
- Will be responsible for fire and security systems, janitorial services, pest control services, landscape services, office relocations and all aspects of the facilities
- This individual will be responsible for snow removal, and salt spreading using company truck, plow, and spreader.
- Att least 3 years general experience in facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines
- A strong aptitude in carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, mechanical and/or pneumatics is desired.
- Must be able to read blueprints, installations/process sheets, wiring diagrams and instruction manuals.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime if necessary.
- Willingness to respond to night and weekend building emergencies.
- Safely use a wide range of tools and equipment such as (but not limited to) drills, air tools, vises, clamps, presses, hammers, saws, forklifts, sweeper, floor scrubber, order picker, scissor lift, ladders, hand tools, etc. as needed to complete tasks.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely.
