Cash Application Specialist

Job Summary

Clark National Accounts is looking for a short-term Cash Application Specialist to cover a short term period (9-12 months depending on applicant availability). This position is ideally full-time, but is flexible and is based out of Lititz, PA. As a Cash Application Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer payments. The position is responsible for promptly applying customer payments based on provided details and maintaining accurate customer accounts. Collaborating closely with collection analysts is essential to ensure precise and proper management of customer payments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible the timely and accurate processing of all cash receipts.
• Deposit check payments into the bank system.
• Set up of new customers in the ERP system.
• Maintain existing customer master files.
• Scan and retain all cash receipt documents.
• Maintain and reconcile all unapplied payments on customer accounts.
• Generate statements of account on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist with customer inquiries.
• Assist with Collection Analysts as needed.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fin manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
  
  

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Access to a home router and modem.
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
• Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.
  
  

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounts receivable, data entry, or similar field.

Education

Associates Degree or higher in Accounting preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
