Expeditor and Sales Support Specialist (6 month duration)

What is an Expeditor and Sales Support Specialist?

The Expeditor provides day-to-day support for internal sales order, project, planning, and purchasing teams to monitor operational and supply deliverables. Success will be demonstrated by delivering seamless execution strategies to ensure the timely accomplishment of projects to meet delivery targets.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have production and / or process improvement experience. This position is full time for approximately 6 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare Progress reports as required by internal and / or external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project order delivery schedule and assist in expediting activities to ensure materials arrive as scheduled and both internal and external tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain summary dashboard reports on orders tagged for expediting. Provide regular updates to management and other stakeholders.
  • Work with team members or management on corrective action plans to address any potential delays in the overall project timeline.
  • Coordinate general expediting activities with other departments.
  • Attend project status update meetings to effectively relay timeline updates to customers.
  • Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
  • Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
  • Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year production and / or process improvement experience(preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented and analytical.
  • Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
  • Physical and Technical Environment

  • Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment.
  • Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
  • Clean and orderly manufacturing environment and / or normal office conditions, changing deadlines and project requirements, strict time constraints.
