A full-time, 9-month, instructional faculty position in English is available beginning August 8, 2025. A master’s degree in English or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in English is required. College teaching experience is required. Online and in-person teaching at a community college is preferred. Successful experience teaching first-year writing is required with knowledge and experience in co-requisite writing models, such as the ALP model, strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will use a learner-centered approach to teaching that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning. Primary duties include English instruction both in person and online, course development, student academic advisement, assessment of student learning, and participation in college-wide initiatives.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and technology skills, the ability to work in teams, and flexibility to teach day and/or evening hours as needed at the College’s campuses in Beavercreek and Springfield, OH. Position reports to the Dean of Arts and Sciences and is located at the main campus in Springfield, OH.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. WORK ENVIRONMENT This work is performed in an office-like environment with a minimal amount of noise. This position requires some travel between campuses.
