What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at clark?
At Guy F. Atkinson Construction (Atkinson Construction) many of our most valued employees work in the field and are members of various labor unions. As a union contractor, we work on a referral process from the local union halls for the hiring of all craft workers.
All Laborer (Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman, and General Foreman) tasks involve physical labor on construction jobsites; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.
Laborer (Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman, and General Foreman) responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Group 1: demotion, flagman, general, construction or cleanup, or traffic control.
- Group 2: chute man or concrete curer.
- Group 3: compactor or pipelayer's backup man.
- Group 4: pipelayer or traffic lane closure (certified).
Additionally, the Laborer Foreman will supervise, coordinate and schedule a crew of Laborers.
