What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEP/Systems Superintendent - Night Shift position at clark?
As an MEP/Systems Superintendent (of the night shift, 8PM - 5AM) managing the installation of the large, complex MEP systems for Bush (IAH) Airport Terminal B project, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to ensure an exceptional project is delivered You will oversee contracted work ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule while also implementing a culture of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead, direct and coordinate the work of the assigned trades
- Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with the contract documents
- Ensure safety, schedule delivery, and quality of work is performed and adherence as well
- Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget, as needed
- Communicate with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues
- Participate in the pay application review process and help to ensure gross billing projects are met
- Lead project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover and training process, and punchlist required for acceptance and handover of all the systems
- Review owner directed changes and subcontractor change order request paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Keep detailed daily records of trade contractors’ work progress
- Work with trade project manager to ensure all requirements are met or exceeded
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience
- 7 years of experience managing the installation of large, complex MEP systems
- 2 years leading, developing, and motivating teams
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel
- Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences
- Working knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (i.e., OSHA)
