Clarke University is searching for a ten-month, part-time, Student Support Coordinator. The Student Support Coordinator is dedicated to the wellbeing and success of students at Clarke University. Support is provided to and for students experiencing varying levels of concern including, but not limited to : basic needs, financial concerns, personal and family issues, behavioral or academic concerns, crises and emergencies. The Coordinator works collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community resources to identify and respond to concerns, interpret policies and procedures, and make appropriate referrals. This position specializes in providing critical outreach and follow-up with students of concern and serves as a member of the Student Support Network. Additionally, the Coordinator leads a team of staff and faculty volunteers to support the administration of Clarke University's free on-campus food and clothing pantry, CUpboard Closet.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 2 years of experience in crisis intervention, social work, or higher education student support services; or master's degree with concentration in Student Affairs, Social Work, Higher Education Administration, or School Counseling. Experience working with individuals or students in crisis management. Strong interpersonal (oral and written) communication, organization, and administrative skills. Ability to analyze complex situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action. Demonstrated commitment and desire to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
