Advanced Care Provider (ACP) is a Certified Physician’s Assistant (P.A. -C) or an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or a Doctoral Nurse Practitioner (DNP) who delivers primary and specialty patient care with a high degree of expertise. Provider must be fluent in speaking Spanish. Professional services include formulating an evidence-based care plan based on assessment, examination, and selected diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice.
Responsibilities
Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats diseases and adverse health conditions.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic testing, identifies proper diagnoses, and creates appropriate plans of care.
Provides patient education regarding treatments, procedures, tests, and their subsequent results.
Clinical Excellence
Performs procedures specific to the service lines competently.
Acts as a resource for other staff and personnel.
Maintains current knowledge of emergency medical procedures and responds appropriately.
Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service.
Collects data, monitors, and reports patient outcomes in relation to national benchmarks.
Education
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Current licensure as P.A.-C in the state of Iowa.
Current licensure as RN and ARNP in the state of Iowa.
Experience
Experience in management and care of chronic and acute wounds and ostomy care.
EPIC charting experience.
License(s) / Certification(s)
Current, active, and unrestricted Physician’s Assistant Board Certification.
Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Fluency in Spanish.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to influence others and make decisions effectively.
