Job Description:
The Director of Nursing (DON) plays a crucial role in managing all functions within the Nursing Department, including resident care, nursing staff, and training. The successful candidate will promote nursing services that support residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care delivery
- Develop and implement effective nursing practices, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal resident outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A current Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota
- Three years of management experience in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing, preferably
- Excellent clinical skills, including MDS processes
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
