Required Qualifications:
- Minimum two years nursing experience required; one year or more experience working in a long-term care facility required.
- Minimum of 6 months experience teaching nurse aide, medication aide or other related health care courses OR a minimum of six months experience supervising nurse aides or nurses required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Current State of Nebraska RN license or compact agreement state RN license required.
- Current American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers required.
- Current valid motor vehicle operator's license required.
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability requirements as defined by the fleet automobile liability insurance carrier required.
- Demonstrated desire to work with students required.
- Positive professional attitude required.
- Effective interpersonal skills required.
- Good organizational skills required.
- Effective problem-solving skills required.
- Effective communication skills required.
- Ability to foster and model effective customer relations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Previous experience in instruction of nurse aide course and/or medication aide course preferred.
- Previous experience in curriculum development preferred.
