Position : Carpenter (Forms Carpenter)
Reports to : Foreman or Superintendent
Job Type : Full-time, Union
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities :
- Build wood and metal forms for the construction of concrete structures, footings, slabs, walls, beams, and columns per specifications.
- Set up and secure forms at correct location; leveling ground, ensuring forms are stable and aligned, and reinforcing to withstand concrete pressure.
- Maintain and repair forms between uses to extend lifespan and maintain safety standards.
- Dismantle, clean, store or dispose of forms after use.
- Use hand tools, power tools and measuring tools to perform work.
- Adhere to and promote safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards, concerns, or incidents immediately.
- Communicate and work with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a productive work environment.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
