The incumbent provides strategic oversight, operational leadership, and decision-making authority across a range of initiatives at the Shipley Center for Innovation. Key responsibilities include managing the North Country Incubator (NCI), the New York State Innovation Hot Spot program (Hot Spot), and the National Science Foundation I-Corps program (I-Corps). The role also involves leading marketing and outreach efforts, coordinating events, and delivering administrative support to advance the Center's mission.
Responsibilities
North Country Incubator (NCI) Management
- Direct day-to-day operations of the North Country Incubator, including care and management of physical incubator, tenant onboarding and support, facility tours, and agreement preparation (e.g., leases, incubation agreements, NDAs).
- Create and execute strategies to attract, engage, and retain high-potential inventors, entrepreneurs, and startups.
- Develop and implement incubator programming in collaboration with subject matter experts from within and outside the university.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance incubator processes, procedures, and policies.
- Collect and report on impact metrics for companies benefiting from the NCI or its programming.

Experience
o 2-3 years of work experience in an entrepreneurship support organization, or similar role supporting entrepreneurs and startup companies.
o 4 years of work experience in an entrepreneurship support organization, or similar role supporting entrepreneurs and startup companies.
o Experience working in an academic environment.
o Experience launching or managing a startup or small business
