    Job Summary:

    Clarkston Community Schools is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Student Support Services team. The BCBA will provide district-wide behavioral consultation, assessment, and direct support, with a primary focus on students exhibiting the most significant behavioral challenges, including frequent physical aggression and complex behavioral needs. This position plays a critical role in supporting students' access to learning by developing and overseeing individualized behavior support plans, collaborating with staff, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to ensure the safe and effective implementation of supports.


    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
    • Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB); Consideration to candidates fully certified by August 15, 2025.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience providing behavioral services in the school setting.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Support students with significant behavioral concerns, including physical aggression and self-injurious behavior, through the design of evidence-based strategies that promote positive behavior change.
    • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in compliance with IDEA and district policies, in collaboration with special education team members and families.
    • Work closely with special education staff, school psychologists, school social workers, and general education teachers to provide comprehensive and coordinated behavioral support.
    • Provide direct supervision and support to district RBTs in the delivery of services, ensuring fidelity of implementation and alignment with student needs. Responsible for determining initial placement and making ongoing adjustments to RBT building assignments based on the evolving needs of students and school programs.
    • Provide in-the-moment coaching and debriefing to staff responding to intensive behavior incidents.
    • Deliver professional development and ongoing coaching related to ABA strategies, data collection, de-escalation techniques, and proactive behavior supports.
    • Consult with private BCBAs and outside service providers, when appropriate, to support consistency of behavioral strategies across school, home, and community settings.
    • Monitor and adjust BIPs based on behavioral data and student progress for target students in collaboration with the IEP team.
    • Maintain documentation in accordance with BACB ethical standards, legal requirements, and district protocols.
    • Knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and the implementation of supports in the least restrictive environment (LRE). Demonstrated experience implementing IEPs and behavioral interventions for students with significant behavioral needs in a school setting.
    • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

    Salary:

    Appropriate placement on the current Teacher's Master Agreement.
