SALARY: *$132,385-$141,300, plus additional benefits per salary schedule; 260 Days *Figure based on the current, 2024-2025, Central Office Administrators Agreement

Part I: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Washington State Program Administrator Certificate and/or Principal Certificate
- Minimum of ten (10) years of successful experience in school or district leadership positions in a public school setting preferred
- Central office experience preferred
- Proven ability to actively listen and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including public speaking
- Demonstrated ability to include staff input in decision-making
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups within and outside of the District
- Ability to facilitate and promote collaborative decision-making
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding Educator support and ability to coach and inspire employees to provide outstanding service
- Proven ability to organize and communicate complex data to diverse audiences
- Ability to analyze complex situations, synthesize diverse information, and facilitate effective solutions for emerging issues
- Ability to function in an environment characterized by the potential for high levels of stress
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues/concerns and coordinate preventative efforts to address them
- Ability to organize and appropriately prioritize leadership and management work to ensure successful operational outcomes and support
- Demonstrated commitment to fairness, consistency, and follow-through in working with Educators.
- Ability to provide conflict mediation support when needed
- Demonstrated history of professional conduct representing strong personal character and integrity resulting in positive staff morale
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and related computer software

- Demonstrated leadership skills that lead to successful outcomes
- Washington State Principal Certification

Part III: MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in:
- Provide knowledgeable leadership for the implementation of district-wide initiatives at the direction of the superintendent
- Supervises and provides oversight to the Teaching & Learning Department and all assigned staff
- Advising the Superintendent and Board of Directors on policy matters and related issues for assigned areas of responsibility
- Lead, coordinate, and execute special projects as assigned
- Serving on the District Leadership Cabinet
- Serving as Superintendent's designee as needed
- Representing the district internally and externally as assigned
- Serves under the broad guidance and administrative supervision of the Superintendent and is responsible for results in terms of the effectiveness of planning, policies, and programs, and for the achievement of leadership and management goals and objectives
- Work is guided by, and must be in compliance with, federal and state law, the policy direction of the School Board, and compliance with state and local regulatory agencies, and local collective bargaining agreements
- Supervise and evaluate Maintenance and Custodial Manager and Director of Health Services
- Supervises and evaluates assigned school administrators
- Supervises and evaluates other personnel as assigned by the Superintendent
- When serving as Superintendent Designee, has the authority to supervise all district personnel, as needed, to ensure safety, order, and continuity of school and district operations
- Providing leadership to administer a range of programs/functions of the District, including but not limited to:
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Standing in for, and acting on behalf of the superintendent (As Assigned)
- Teaching and Learning – All Programs and Services P-12 (Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, Intervention Systems)
- Demonstrate a commitment to each school and department through regular visits to each site and actively engage with the school district community.
- Professional Development – Administrators and Instructional Staff
- Principal Support, Mentoring, Professional Development, and Evaluation (As Assigned)
- Serving on the district safety team as assigned and as backup Incident Commander for the District
- Secondary Responsibilities:
- Special Programs (As Assigned) Title II, IV
- Collective Bargaining Leadership (Teachers, and other groups as assigned)
- Community Engagement Initiatives and Groups (As Assigned)
- Oversee facility usage and rentals per board policy
- Provide leadership for district efforts to ensure equity in educational programs, athletics, activities, employment, and all areas of district operations. Serve as Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator and Title IX Officer, monitoring and coordinating compliance with nondiscrimination laws. Investigate and respond to concerns from staff, students, and the community related to equity
- Other leadership or management duties as assigned by the Superintendent
