Data Engineer

Company Overview

This role is responsible for data engineering activities across Claro Enterprise Solutions, which includes work to interpret and portray data to tell stories in a variety of different user situations using the latest technologies like deep learning and LLMs. This role will create and optimize data models, extract, transform, and load data from various sources, and deliver insights and reports using data visualization tools. This person will work closely with the Claro Enterprise Solutions (CES) departments and IT teams to scope data metrics and select appropriate data sources for implementing data quality, data validations, and visualizations. Additionally, the data engineer will also maintain and update current dashboards to monitor overall business metrics.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Perform end-to-end data analysis, including data discovery and validation, ETL, data QA, analysis, visualization, and data presentation to CES end users.
• Interacted with the requestor to understand data analysis requirements and questions to be answered and determine the approach to answering the question at the right level
• Drive continuous improvement efforts on data automation by interfacing with data business users across the organization
• Build GenAI based LLMs that will use structured and non-structured data
• Program using Python, and may be PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Collecting data from a variety of operational data stores and other internal/external sources, such as databases and network metrics entities. Data collection could use technologies like ETL, Rest APIs, data connectors etc., and using database programming languages like PLSQL, Salesforce SOQL etc.
• Maintain existing and design, develop, and test new database objects
• Organize the data in the proper formats for analysis through a star-schema based datawarehouse / data lake design in Azure Synapse.
• Analyze the data using traditional statistical methods to draw insights and conclusions, using models like Bayes, Linear Regression, Random Forest at the minimum or using GenAI based analytics
• Interpret the results of data analysis and present it to a wider audience, including the CxOs.
• Build queries to review data from different relational, no-sql or time-series databases. Build data feeds using ElasticSearch.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Required Work Experience

• 1-3 years Computer application software system design experience Required and
• 1-3 years Must have experience working in large, fast paced agile projects. Required and
• 4-6 years Experience in data analysis in an enterprise dwh environment. Required and
• 4-6 years Data accuracy and integrity analysis and actions to address any faults Required and
• 1-3 years Statistical predictive modeling Preferred
• 1-3 years Generative AI knowledge Preferred
• 1-3 years Cloud based data pipelining into a data warehouse Required and
• 1-3 years Data profiling and ability to make recommendations based on data profiles Required
• 4-6 years Oracle Database PLSQL Required and
• 4 years min Data Modeling and Database Design Required

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated above. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
