Interior Remodeling Carpenters Helper

Here at Clarus we are seeking an Interior Remodeling Carpenter's Helper to join our team and help with our turnovers, city inspections, and remodels. We are looking for someone who is ready to work, and has the know how to get the job done right. We need someone who is reliable, and and trustworthy.

Skills Needed:

• General Maintenance knowledge
• Ability to make decisions and adjust in the field
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Own and be able to use a smartphone: Our work order/ time clock system are apps on the phone (monthly phone reimbursement)
• Be familiar with and able to use technology (IE: sending and receiving emails, navigating Windows/ Chrome to open and print work orders)
• Plumbing: Set sinks/vanities/faucets, set/ repair toilets, connect drain assemblies, install garbage disposals, etc.
• Electrical: Install light fixtures/ ceiling fans, change plugs/switches, install thermostats, connect appliances, etc.
• Basic Framing: Stud out walls when called for, make minor repairs to existing framing or structural work.
• Finish Carpentry: Install baseboards/ crown/ casing/ shoe, etc.
• Cabinet/ Countertop Installations: Install cabinets to layout and be able to adjust in the field, install pre formed countertops and be able to properly cut out for sinks.
• Window and Window Pane Replacement: Occasionally we have to replace an entire window unit, but more often than not we replace the glass itself. Candidate needs to be able to replace single and double pane glass. Also needs to know how to glaze a window.
• Door Installations and Adjustments: Interior and exterior doors. Slabs and pre-hung.
• Drywall/Painting: Candidate needs to be proficient at minor drywall patching and painting. Most paint work is handled by our paint crew but we often have little jobs we need to do.

The right person will have the know how to start immediately. $18-21/ hr. Company vehicle provided for working hours. $30/month cell phone reimbursement. 1 week paid vacation after a year. 1 week sick time after 6 months. All major holidays are paid.

This is a very easy gig for someone who knows what they are doing. We want someone who is able to work quickly/ efficiently and is trustworthy. We almost never work weekends, and rarely have to get on a roof. This company values our employees and our retention rate is very high.

Ideal candidate will have specific remodeling and general carpentry experience of at least 2-3 years. Should be presentable and able to provide excellent customer service with tenants when required (most units you work in will be vacant). You will need a valid drivers license, a cell phone, and your own hand tools.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
