What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Skills Trainer and Youth Mentor position at Clarvida - Oregon?
About your Role:
Skills Trainers and Youth Mentors are responsible for providing direct skills training or mentoring, primarily in a community setting, to youth with identified behavioral and/or mental health concerns placed in ODHS resource homes. Skills Trainers and Youth Mentors function as part of a youth’s Service Team and develop their own Service Plans with goals that work toward stabilization of the youth’s placement in the Resource home and the development of social/emotional learning. Skills training and Youth Mentoring are provided during times identified as most relevant to the consumer/family. This does require some flexibility; however, a typical schedule is Monday-Friday 10am-630pm.

Does the following apply to you?
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience- additional education may substitute for years of experience
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance
- CPR/First Aid- provided by an agency
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI)- provided by an agency
- Tier 1 Collaborative Problem Solving – provided by an agency
- Satisfactory results of fingerprinting and background checks
