As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work within an ACT team of counselors, nurses, therapists, and case managers, providing services to adult clients in the community focusing on aspects of substance abuse and other mental health issues. You will conduct initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths, substance abuse, mental health treatment needs, and biopsychosocial histories. You will meet with clients regularly to provide individual and group SA counseling, intervention techniques, and crisis assessments, and link clients to community resources such as AA as needed.

- Active status of at least one of the following certifications: CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T, GMAC or CCIT
- Valid GA driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
