Job description

Clason Point Partners Inc. (CPP) has an opening for a Logistics Support Analyst to provide support on a federal contract in Norfolk, Virginia. The Logistic Support Analyst must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in NAMP or US Air Force-related maintenance, to include supply procedures, preferably involving Aviation Maintenance. Logistics Support Analyst will identify, quantify, and provide recommendations for T/M/S peculiar logistical resources, alternate procurement resources, and inter-fleet distribution, as required, to improve operational readiness and aircraft availability required to support aircraft systems and equipment configuration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review unit status reports and other operational and maintenance data on a daily basis to identify maintenance-related problems and recommend corrective action. As necessary, recommend corrective maintenance actions
  • Prepare draft input for briefing memos/charts concerning aircraft assignment, scheduled maintenance transitions, depot modification induction schedules, operational readiness, and problem areas.
  • Project aircraft shortages and recommend and advise leadership on corrective action.
  • Identify, quantify, and provide recommendations for T/M/S peculiar logistical resources, alternate procurement resources, and inter-fleet distribution, as required, to improve operational readiness and aircraft availability required to support aircraft systems and equipment configuration.
  • Represent the agency at scheduled planning conferences, program reviews and other logistics meetings for assigned aircraft and provide leadership with meeting notes.
  • Provide draft input into Weapons System Planning Documents (WSPD) for each T/M/S, as solicited, by the applicable Program Office.
  • Review daily message traffic and email for assigned aircraft issues and requirements and advise leadership on relevant issues.
  • Communicate with Naval Aviation Depot Fleet Support Team (FST), type wings, and squadrons to ensure maintenance and logistical support requirements for assigned aircraft are met.
  • Assist in briefing appropriate departmental leadership on issues impacting aircraft readiness and mission capability.
  • Provide draft input for weekly aircraft status reports for all aircraft assigned.
  • Assist in identifying and expediting required parts and materials to support operational readiness and aircraft availability.
  • Screen all supported squadron Aircraft Material Condition Reports (AMCRs) and Not Mission Capable-Supply (NMCS)/Partially Mission Capable Supply (PMCS) reports daily and advise/recommend options to CNAFR maintenance leadership on how to reduce the impact to assigned aircraft’s operational readiness and aircraft availability.
  • Assist the Configuration Manager, Class Desk, and various Mod Teams in tracking and resolving Engineering Change proposals (ECP) and Technical Directives (TD) kits and parts to ensure proper support for assigned aircraft.
  • Assist in briefing appropriate departmental leadership on the status of all NMCS/PMCS aircraft with regard to aircraft parts requirements and availability, ECP and TDC kits/parts status, and PMI aircraft parts requirements/status. Deliverable: NMCS/PMCS aircraft parts requirements and availability, ECP and TDC kits/parts status, and PMI aircraft parts requirements/status draft brief.
  • Screen Parts Utilization Kit (PUK) contents for proper configuration for supported aircraft; attend PUK meetings; make recommendations on range and depth of PUK contents with respect to ever-changing aircraft configuration.

Educational Background and Experience

  • The Logistics Support Analyst must have a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience supporting Navy Aviation Maintenance Program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field or a minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in a related aviation logistics field
  • Four (4) years of specialized experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required
