Position Summary:
This is a 3-6 month internship, starting 1/6/2025, located in Rockville, MD.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic college student to join our team in the field of protein chemistry and cell culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic laboratory environment, focusing on aseptic techniques, mammalian cell culture, and basic protein chemistry for downstream purification and protein analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free experiments.
- Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of mammalian cell cultures.
- Participate in protein purification processes and conduct protein analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research and development projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members to report findings and progress.
- Shipment/Storage of final reagent materials.
Qualifications:
- Currently a rising senior, enrolled in a college program related to biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Prior experience working in a lab.
- Strong interest in protein chemistry and cell culture techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
