Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks, including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
Home every week and newer trucks
Weekly average $1300-1500 weekly
Running South central states and newer trucks
Short haul pay, stop pay and unload pay if accessible
Duties
- Safely operate and drive different types of trucks including flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating various types of trucks such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
