Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Home every other week
Weekly average 1300-1500 weekly
Newer trucks and short haul pay, stop pay, and unload pay if accessible
Duties
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and roll-off trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Plan routes effectively for timely delivery while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with various truck types such as tanker trucks, flatbeds, and delivery vehicles.
- Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently across diverse terrains.
- Knowledge of load unloading procedures and safe handling practices for different types of cargo.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and requirements.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading tasks when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during transport.
