Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plastic Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong fabrication knowledge and experience in working with various materials, particularly sheet plastics. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating and assembling components using a variety of tools and techniques, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Fabricate components using Acrylic, Polycarbonate, ABS, PETG and other materials as specified in project plans.
- Operate power tools, heaters and other machinery to shape and assemble materials.
- Utilize calipers and measuring instruments to ensure precision in dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in working with sheet Plastics is highly desirable.
- Experience using power tools, line bending and machining tools.
- Familiarity with calipers for precise measurements is essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification if required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
