Concrete Wall Setter II

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Wall Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete wall work and be proficient in building wall. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes, and collaborating with other construction professionals.

Duties

• Be punctual. Consistent dependability (must have good attendance).
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment for site preparation and wall building.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure proper installation of forms and reinforcements.
• Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in the operation of concrete pumping equipment when required.
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including skid steers and mini excavators.
• Excavate sites for footings and foundations with minimal supervision.
• Setup / layout footings & foundations with minimal supervision.
• Load and unload materials and supplies at shop and on the job site in an organized fashion per the Foreman's request.
• Prepare the site for the placement of concrete with no supervision.
• Accurately measure, mark, and cut materials with no supervision.
• Accurately use a laser level to set grades / elevations with no supervision.
• Bend, place and tie rebar in accordance with drawings and specifications with no supervision.
• Ability to install window and door blockouts, beam pockets, brick ledge, plates, bolts, and other anchors to formwork with no supervision.
• Load, layout, erect and remove concrete wall forms with no supervision.
• Exceptional knowledge and experience ensuring trueness of structure, using string and level.
• Responsible for double checking all measurements and dimensions of structure.
• Understand and monitor the effects of the weather on the curing process.
• Responsible for managing site and shop material inventory (wall ties, form oil).
• Strictly abides by all company safety standards and policies.
• Other duties assigned by Foreman.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concrete Wall Setter or similar role in construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete and materials.
• Familiarity with operating heavy equipment related to concrete work.
• Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
• Must have a clear driving record and valid driver's license. Commercial driving experience is advantageous for transporting materials as needed.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to learn system for job cost management
• Make purchases, track expenses, and apply to the appropriate P.O. at the Foreman’s request
• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring/safety issues
• Strictly abides by all company safety standards and policies
• Other duties assigned by Foreman

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
