Production Line Technician

Job Responsibilities

As a Production Line Technician at Classic Packaging Company, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth production of high-quality flexible packaging solutions. This includes operating machinery, maintaining production levels, and inspecting products to guarantee highest quality.

You will work closely with our production team to troubleshoot any issues that may arise and communicate effectively with your colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless operations. We are looking for an individual who is punctual, meticulous, and reliable, with strong communication and computer skills.

Key Tasks:

• Maintaining production levels and product quality while operating machinery safely.
• Ensuring all machines' safety functions are checked at the start of each shift.
• Reading orders carefully to understand bag specifications and pack them accurately.
• Inspecting bags regularly to guarantee highest quality and matching order requirements.
• Conducting quality checks at each machine restart.
• Stacking boxes neatly on pallets, with assistance from mechanics when necessary.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors about machine or bag issues.
• Completing paperwork and computer entries accurately and efficiently.
• Keeping work areas clean and organized.
• Advising supervisors of needs or suggestions.
• Evaluating helpers' progress and training needs.
• Creating a positive work environment through encouragement and support.
• Complying with all safety requirements, including PPE use.
• Safely operating material moving equipment, such as forklifts and hoists.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Troubleshooting equipment and product quality issues.
• Starting and monitoring machines continuously at all points.
• Recalling and setting bag recipes from equipment's computer system for each setup.
