What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Specialist - Day Shift position at Classic Rock Fabrication?
The Maintenance Specialist is a maintenance expert extremely committed to excellence while servicing and performing preventative maintenance on machines and company vehicles to ensure optimal efficiency. Experience in diesel mechanics, hyrdraulics and working on heavy equipment is a must. This role is crucial to the organization’s production success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform shop duties assigned, including machine operation during periods of high production demand or absences (approximately 65% of work activities).
- Maintain general manufacturer’s preventative maintenance schedule on stationary equipment in the fabrication facility (approximately 25% of work activities).
- Organize and track tools and maintenance supplies, including those requested by other employees (approximately 5% of work activities).
- Maintain records for all maintenance activities performed and report problems to the Production Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in the best possible condition to guarantee productive manufacturing and high-level appearance.
- Drive Company box trucks locally and transfer trucks to other locations as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and vendors. Must speak fluent English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis; Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, handling, and repetitive motions.
The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 125 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily warehouse and occasionally outdoor environment. Steel toe boots and safety glasses required. Hearing protection required in some areas.
WORK SCHEDULE
Eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays on a steady daylight shift Monday through Friday with potential for overtime and Saturday hours as needed.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
