What are the responsibilities and job description for the Label Operator position at Classic Salads?
Label Operator Worker is an employee in the production department. This role is member to our production team and is responsible
to perform manual heavy labor needed to process with the highest standards of food quality.
The employee is required to operate the label machine, box coder, sonic welder.
The employee is required to notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness.
Positions: Label Operator, Other positions as required
l. Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including Basic Policies (TRN-0101, TRN-102, TRN-103. TRN-104. TRN-105.

2. Complete Classic Salads Standard Production Procedures
3. Use proper lifting and folding boxes techniques
4. Report all deficiencies to management.
5. Work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary.
6. Move product and/or materials manually as required
7. Report all injuries and incidents big or small.
8. Demostrate attention to detail
9. Report any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.
10. Communicate with management and/or other employees
11. Be concious to reduce material spoilage.
12. Able to work in a cold wet environment 34-36 F
13. Work/cross train in other areas
14. Fold boxes continously 1 lb to 3 lbs
15. Lift bags continuosly 2 oz to 4 Lbs
16. Stack and lift boxes continuously 3 Lbs to 4 Lbs 5-6 boxes high
17. Keep work area clean
18. Rotate through all positions in the packing line
19. Lift finished product boxes continuosly 3 lbs to 15 lbs
20. Stay in assigned work area
21 Ability to operate a manual pallet jack
22. Stack and Lift raw and finished product containers/boxes 10-50 lbs continuosly
23. Team lift garbage cans 10-70 lbs ocasionally
24. Lift empty pallets 45-85 Lbs continuously
25. Sort and stack empty totes by color and size.
26. Wrap and palletize finished product
27. Mark cartons and label according to instructions
28. Communicate with data entry employees and machine operators
29. Follow directions regarding product mixes and recipes
30. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), face
shield, gloves, slip resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron etc.
31. Be aware of sorroundings due to forklift traffic
32. If employee is authorized to drive a forklift by management, employee has to be certified by Classic Salads
33. With previous management authorization employee has to complete a daily forkilift inspection report
34. With previous management authorization retreive product from raw room use FIFO (first in first out) to keep apropriate product rotation.
35. With previous training employee is required to operate the box coder, label machine and sonic welder.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work with fast changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions.
