Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The Agricultural Sales Professional represents Classic Salads when marketing and selling niche and commodit i zed produce products across the national and international markets.
Sell a variety of produce commodities and niche market products Emphasis on obtaining and servicing Retail Accounts
Demonstrate curren t , in-depth knowledge of product features , innovative growing , processing practices , and company history
Expand book of business through electronic and in-person outreach to meet assigned productivity and growth targets
Provide exceptional customer service to existing customer base
Oversee processing of customer orders and provides continuous customer updates , and solicits feedback Oversee , manage and deliver frequent reporting of sales leads and progress
Maintain awareness of market nuances , needs and provide recommendations / adjustments when indicated Perform sales transactions as prescribed per policy
Part i c i pate in pricing negotiations and contract development in partnership with the CFO Manages customer complaints by pursuing win-win outcomes
Performs all job functions in a transparent, ethica l , and collaborative manner
Develop a strong working relationship with organizational team members and gain a basic understanding of all division operations
Assume logistical oversight of product shipping for retail and foodservice products when indicated Addresses resolve and analyze customer credits per policy, noting trends and providing recommendations
Assumes national / international sales territory and may assist with sales outside of the assigned territory □ Ensures appropriate level of confidentiality with personnel , department , and organizational matters □ Actively engages in new product development
Works closely with c - suite and others to ensure current messaging Performs other duties as assigned
Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :
Exceptional interpersonal customer service and communication skills Strong analytical skills to identify sales patterns and trends Advanced time management skills
Positive , team-oriented , self-motivated Attention to detail
6-years agricultural sales experience
Bachelor ' s preferred but will consider relevant work experience
Must be willing to travel to meet with customers and attend Produce Marketing Association (PMA) , Organic Produce Summit (OPS) , and other conferences / shows
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely , and successfully with the ADA , FMLA , and other federal , state , and local standards
Ability to maintain regular , punctual attendance consistent with the ADA , FMLA , and other federal , state , and local standards
Must be able to talk , listen and speak clearly on the telephone
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
