What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Substitute Teacher (2024-2025) position at Classical Charter Schools?

Position Summary:
All Classical teachers share the undying belief that maximizing student achievement is at the core of our work. Our Resident Substitute Teachers are committed to our mission and driven to meet key responsibilities:
- Maintaining high behavioral expectations, sustaining established classroom systems, and executing schoolwide procedures and routines
- Preparing and facilitating lessons in absent-teacher classrooms using Classical’s scripted curriculum
- Engaging with scholars and staff across a range of grade-levels
Successful Resident Substitute Teachers are:
- Consistently reliable and present; communicate effectively and can be counted on
- Flexible and easily able to adjust in-the-moment based on the needs of teachers and scholars
- Growth-oriented and willing to learn
- Likely to receive an offer for the 2025 ClassiCorps Teaching Fellowship
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience working with children

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
