What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Sales position at Clausing Industrial, LLC?
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading the sales team to meet and exceed goals. The essential duties include managing and developing key partners, dealers, and manufacturer representatives. This position will grow and mentor the internal Sales Team. This position will report to the President and be located in Kalamazoo, MI.
Essential Functions -
- Be aware of the internal and external competition from local and national companies who work in similar areas and keep up to date with the overall economic landscape.
- Look for expansion opportunities, like new customers, markets, dealers / reps, and industry developments. Take advantage of possible opportunities that can occur to advance the company.
- Evaluate the overall state of the company and understand where it can improve and what it is doing well.
- Contribute to the sales area of the business to add to profitability.
- Create a work atmosphere that will attract, retain, motivate and develop sales and marketing professionals.
- Collaborate with marketing for any trade show planning / attendance, campaigns, new product introductions, distributor collateral / social media, and strategic planning
- Actively solicit feedback, communicate internally, and participate in best practice improvements based on voice of customers, dealers, and competitors
- Recruiting and hiring sales staff and developing training programs
- Motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals
- Provide all necessary reports and other data to the company to facilitate decision-making; weekly / monthly reporting on bookings and detailed sales forecasts
- Outline and manage sales budgets
- Assist all departments to support on time delivery and startup of products
- Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs and improve customer satisfaction
- Establishing and maintaining key customer relationships
- Conduct technical seminars for dealers / reps / customers to increase their awareness of Clausing products and problem-solving capabilities.
- Provide application data for distributors, customers, and our manufacturing departments.
- Interface with joint commitments and a flow of product and sales information.
