Wholesale/Commercial Greenhouse Delivery Driver (Seasonal)

Claussen’s Florist, Greenhouses and Perennial Farm in Colchester, Vermont is looking for experienced delivery drivers to join our fast pace commercial division during the upcoming Spring/Summer Season (April, May, and June, and potentially longer in the season). We are looking for the right candidates to join our delivery team with plant material throughout Vermont, western NH and eastern NY during our busiest time of the year.

Start Date: March 31, 2025

Rate of Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour and up. Based on previous work experience.

Job Description:

• Delivering plant material to commercial customers throughout VT, NH, eastern NY.
• Loading and Unloading customers’ orders of plant material for commercial customers.
• Courteous interactions with customers.
• Ability to drive any of the following vehicles: International 20’ straight job trucks, Isuzu 16’ straight job trucks, and Econoline Vans.
• Always maintaining vehicles in a clean and orderly condition.
• Always drive respectfully and always in a professional manner, always representing Claussen’s.
• Conduct daily inspections of vehicles at the end of each shift, report problems.
• Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations based on company policy.
• Pass random drug testing conducted by professional testing agency.
• Complete paperwork daily in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform other industry, job-related duties assigned.
• Always working independently and with a commercial team in a positive manner.
• Help load trucks for the next day’s delivery if needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience and comfortable operation commercial size box trucks(straight-jobs).
• Maintain a current/valid driver’s medical card.
• Applicants must have a clean drivers record.
• You must follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Great work ethic and willingness to learn about the industry.
• This is a seasonal position, April through June. However, there is the ability to be brought back during Fall & Christmas seasons.
• Positive interactions with all customers and their employees when delivering.

This position involves a very fast pace, multi-stop route, that requires:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to load and unload plant material from a box truck (steps required safely)

Availability must be flexible and include evenings and a weekend day if needed.

Job Types: Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
