CHMC - Pharmacy- Pharmacy Technician –Per Diem- Day Shift – 7:30a-4p -Requisition 8378
Pay Range: $17.45-$22.25 *
A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring the dispensing of medications to patients is performed safely and efficiently. Responsible for performing a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of drug nomenclature and exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the potential adverse events associated with medication dispensing. All activities are performed under the supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with New York State and federal law.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pharmacy Technician certification required.
Must have proficient keyboarding, computation skills and basic computer knowledge.
Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information and maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies is required.
Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security.
Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities.
Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information.
Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients is required.
Six to twelve months of hospital or community pharmacy experience preferred.

- The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
