This is a writing-intensive role, requiring the ability to produce compliant, compelling, and technically sound proposals for federal government Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Proposal Development: Write proposals from start to finish, ranging from highly technical to general professional services, with minimal or extensive input as needed.
- Compliance Management: Analyze RFPs, create requirements and compliance matrices, and ensure adherence to all proposal requirements.
- Proposal Planning: Develop proposal schedules and outlines, assign writing tasks when technical support is available, and manage the proposal development process from inception to submission.
- Past Performance Integration: Leverage existing past performance citations to enhance proposal content.
- Price Volume Creation: Prepare price volumes using input from FPDS and other databases.
- Quality Control: Ensure all proposals are error-free, including syntax and grammar, and meet high standards of professionalism and accuracy.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of federal government contractor proposal writing experience.
- Proven ability to deliver approximately 20 proposals per year.
- Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of federal RFP requirements and the proposal lifecycle.
- Ability to produce both technical and non-technical content with clarity and precision.
- Strong English language proficiency with no tolerance for syntax errors or misspellings.
- Proficiency in using tools such as FPDS for pricing and other proposal-related tasks.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
