Ford of Arlington is always seeking to acquire a certified, experienced, and innovative Service Technician who can perform diagnostics and maintenance in all areas, including Ford specialized areas of repair. This Technician is responsible for providing leadership and direction to other members of the service team by executing advanced and accurate restorations and repairs.

Job functions include but not limited to:
- Evaluates and implements the Technician's Repair Order in accordance with the dealership and Ford's requirements. The Service Technician's performance expectation includes a wide range of mechanical responsibilities.
- Examines, diagnoses, and discusses the issue of the vehicle with the Shop Foreman/Service Advisor for communication to the customers. The Technician offers labor time estimates to the Service Advisor.
- Replaces transmissions and fuel components as needed. The Technician repairs cooling components and systems including engine cooling and air conditioners.
- Plans work procedures in cooperation with the Shop Foreman. The Technician completes the story or documentation for customer service repairs.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks aimed at maintaining vehicle longevity and functionality. The Technician maintains adherence to dealership policies regarding customer vehicle care and operations.
Employee Prerequisites:
- Technician knowledge/experience is REQUIRED. Pay is based on experience.
- Certifications, Licenses, and local registrations required for the position.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals.
- Flexible schedule
- Wear approved safety gear when in designated work area. Keep work area clean and tidy, in adherence to company standards.
