We are seeking a talented, yet motivated, individual to join our Technical Support team. The ideal candidate is eager to serve, well organized, dynamic, customer-focused, and proactive. This candidate is a dedicated team player and possesses advanced multi-tasking and problem-solving skills as they relate to IT.
Role Overview
The Information Technology Specialist (Entry Level) position is a full-time entry level position at Clay Cooley Auto Group. The core responsibilities of the IT Specialist include responding to service requests via phone, email, etc., confirming customer information, and creating service tickets with clear and thorough documentation, and providing first level troubleshooting and problem resolution.
The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of networking and Windows-environment fundamentals. Additional tasks performed include Active Directory, Office 365, and application password changes.
This temporary position requires a solid technical foundation via formal education or real-world experience. An advanced understanding of computers, servers, and networking is essential for success in the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote support by answering, evaluating, and resolving incoming telephone, voice mail, and email requests from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer related technologies in a timely manner
- Provide prompt and effective technical support
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Identify, research, and resolve technical issues
- Troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- Explain issues and resolutions to end users in a simplified, non-technical manner
- Ability to document support issues and update users in a detailed fashion

Education/Experience
- 2-4 years of demonstrable 'hands-on' IT work experience supporting and resolving diverse PC desktop software and hardware issues
- Industry-recognized technical support certificate such as a CompTIA A is a plus
- Education Required - High School Diploma / GED
- Desired Education - Associates Degree or comparable level of certification
Required Qualifications
- US work authorization

- Firsthand experience supporting desktop computers in a Windows/TCPIP environment
- Windows 10 experience
- Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365 experience
- Willing and able to work additional hours when needed
