About Us
Clay County is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement and be proficient in litigating cases involving felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses.
Responsibilities
- Represent the State of Minnesota and/or Clay County in various court proceedings
- Litigate cases involving children in need of protection or services (CHIPs), juvenile delinquencies, child support, guardianships, commitments, forfeitures, civil litigation, county department representation, and administrative appeals
- Work closely with local authorities to ensure justice is served
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a Juris Doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota. Recent law school graduates, those scheduled to take the Minnesota bar exam, and those licensed to practice law in another jurisdiction are encouraged to apply.
