What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Specialist position at Clay County?
Clay County Missouri has an opening in Liberty, MO in our Planning and Zoning department as an Administrative Specialist. The Administrative Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day office operations of the department for maximum productivity of all department staff, ensuring the office remains clean, organized, and efficient. The person in this position will provide reception duties by answering phone and greeting guests as well as direct and coordinate the efficient management of administrative functions in the office, such as preparing reports and presentations, clerical and support services, printing, mail and messenger services, telecommunications and purchasing services.
We are looking for someone with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency groups in an environment where changing priorities are the norm and has demonstrated skills in managing multiple tasks. They must be proficient in MS Office applications and office equipment with a high school diploma or GED, one to three years of increasingly responsible related work experience, and the ability to acquire a Notary Public certification.
The hiring range is $21.00 - $22.60 hourly. DOQ, with an employee benefits package that includes two defined benefit retirement pension plans fully funded by the County, choice of three medical plans including two high deductible plans with County funded HSA. Option to include dental, vision, flexible spending, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14.5 paid holidays, Long Term Disability, and tuition reimbursement.
