What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Case Manager position at Clay County?
Clay County Missouri has an opportunity to work in a professional position coordinating the care for citizens who are wards of the court. This individual coordinates services with care providers and facilities, social workers, doctors, families, hospitals, community programs, and other direct care providers. Care includes placement, funding, legal issues, hospitalizations, entitlements, community providers, filing updates, maintaining correct addresses and court-required reports. This position works independently under general directions and needs to organize work, multi-task and prioritize tasks without direct supervision. This position is also on call 24/7 and needs to be available to respond to emergency calls, including weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in social services or psychology, be able to take Constitutional Oath, and be a licensed driver to be able to perform site-visits out in the community. This individual should also communicate effectively verbally and in writing using proper grammar and punctuation, able to handle stressful situations and deal sensitively with confidential material.
The employee will receive an hourly salary of $20.00 - $24.50 with a benefits package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan fully funded by the Count. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14.5 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
