Spreads, compacts, and covers waste and keeps waste at proper grade. Moves daily cover material and performs post-closure activitiesInspects customer waste - separating recyclables and storing hazardous and problem materials.Provides directions and procedures to residents, businesses, and haulersPrepares, inspects and maintains equipment for use. This includes checking fuel, oil, and grease. Performs minor equipment repairs. Assists Site Manager in maintaining facility and site in nuisance free, aesthetic manner (i.e. weed and brush control, litter pick-up, facility up-keep and repair), according to state rules and regulations. Performs erosion and vegetation control, and other work on roads and storm water areas/trenches, as needed. Oversees and inspects monitoring wells and equipment, leachate collection system and tank, methane gas vents, flares, and phytoremediation system.Assesses waste loads to determine fess and tax. Other duties as assigned by Landfill Manager.
