- Every candidate leaves their Clay interview with a sense of wonder — an experience so seamless, engaging, and inspiring that it feels truly magical
- Build and Scale Recruiting Systems to enable Clay to hire 100 people this year
- Treat recruiting data like sales data — track volume, conversion rates, and funnel movement. Set up and maintain reporting to proactively surface insights, drive efficiency, and improve hiring outcomes.
- Raise the Hiring Bar – Maintain and elevate the quality of hires. Develop creative, scaleable sourcing strategies to find high-quality, unique candidates and scale Clay’s approach to world-class hiring.
- Ensure anyone interviewing at Clay is “certified” – Establish and maintain an official training and coaching program for interviewers.
- Be a Trusted People & Ops Partner – Bring a passion for the people-side operations, working cross-functionally to ensure a seamless hiring process. Design for scale, leveraging automation and AI to optimize knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- 4 years of experience in an operations role, with a track record of building and optimizing systems at a high-growth startup.
- Passion for people & operations – You care deeply about building efficient systems that improve both hiring processes and team dynamics. You’re energized by the intersection of people and operations.
- Data-driven decision-making – You treat recruiting and ops data like sales data, leveraging volume, conversion rates, and funnel metrics to drive measurable improvements. You know how to set up and maintain dashboards to track performance.
- Bias for action – You thrive in 0 → 1 environments, taking ownership and moving quickly. You identify problems, design solutions, and execute without waiting for direction.
- Operational experience – You’ve worked in an ops role before and understand how to build and optimize processes for scale.
