Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee and support inventory operations for our cannabis manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods are accurately tracked, recorded, and available to meet production schedules. The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices to ensure compliance with cannabis industry regulations and company standards.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily tracking and reconciliation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in compliance with state regulations (e.g., METRC).
- Conduct and lead regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Supervise the intake of raw materials and supplies, verifying shipments against purchase orders.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory (raw materials and finished goods) in the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all cannabis regulations, including METRC reporting and proper chain of custody documentation.
- Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies promptly while maintaining accurate documentation for audits.
- Train and oversee inventory team to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support the professional development of team members.
- Identify and address operational bottlenecks in inventory management.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align inventory data with company goals.
