The Role We Want You For
As a Project Architect, we would love to have you join our team in Phoenix and assume a technical leadership role for the firm’s Commercial, Industrial and Residential Market Sectors.
You will drive, augment, and assist LJC’s leadership team, helping it grow and expand its regional presence, while seeking, finding and securing the future for LJC through project commissions and talent recruiting. The Project Architect will be counted on to mentor and nurture the professional development of staff, as well as work across LJC disciplines and parent company Clayco’s construction and real estate arms to help our entire enterprise thrive.
The Specifics of the Role
- Oversees the integrated design of projects and / or development of construction drawings for projects
- Serves as primary coordinator with contractors and consulting engineers
- Manages one or more team members
- Leads design teams in developing proposals for potential clients
- Capable of organizing and contributing to business development pursuits
- Responsible for developing thought leadership in technical architecture and design
- Leads discussions in the local and regional design community
- Recruits and interviews potential applicants to ensure practice growth
- Represents LJC in the community and civic events
- Practices LJC’s core values of integrity, humility and fearlessness
- Guides and contributes to LJC’s Core Councils (Culture, Integration, Practice, Process and Sustainability)
