About the Role:
The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our manufacturing business by managing and nurturing key customer accounts within our injection molding manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for developing strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services. The Account Manager will also identify opportunities for new business development within existing accounts and work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. By effectively managing large accounts, the Account Manager will contribute to the overall revenue growth and market presence of the company. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence and fostering long-term partnerships with our clients. This individual will act as a primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships with clients while ensuring their needs are met and business opportunities are maximized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with assigned customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely order fulfillment, accurate invoicing, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct regular account reviews to analyze performance, forecast future requirements, and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, contracts, and account updates in the company’s CRM system.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activity to better support customer needs.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints proactively, ensuring effective solutions and maintaining a positive business relationship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in account management, preferably in manufacturing or injection molding.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and production workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with technical sales or engineering background in plastics manufacturing.
Working Conditions: This role requires occasional travel to customer sites and manufacturing facilities. Work hours may vary based on client needs and project demands.
