Job Summary:
Sets and removes molds from molding machines. Completes all required paper work and documentation. Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sets and pulls molds according to established procedures.
- Capable of successfully training new Mold Setters without assistance.
- Can set molds and complete change overs successfully without assistance or supervision.
- Completes their section of changeover checklist.
- Loads programs for Robots and Machines.
- Promptly addresses all buzzers, alarms and red lights.
- Installs and sets up EOATs, auxiliary equipment, secondary or cooling fixtures, processing equipment, etc.
- Completes line clearance, mold upgrades, removes auxiliary equipment and clean around machines.
- Communicates with process engineer, shift supervisor, quality assurance, tool room, process technicians and maintenance about any problems that may exist related to specific department.
- Keeps all areas within responsibility neat, clean and organized at all times.
- Maintains compliance with company safety, housekeeping, rules and procedures to help maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
- Ensures that practices are compliant with the applicable quality system requirements.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in Mold Setter II role (or prior external experience).
- Possesses the technical and mechanical skills to set and pull mold. Required skills level obtained through on-the-job training.
- Ability to start and persist with specific course of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency, willing to commit to long hours of work in order to reach goals, working with no supervision.
- Substantial interpersonal skills for effective communication and interaction with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand entire shift (8 hrs.).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity.
- Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
- Frequently moves from waist level to floor level
