Position Type: Preschool Special Education Teacher Location: Claymont Primary School Job Type: 7.75 Hrs. General Description: Under general direction provides daily instruction to meet the goals and objectives of individualized educational plans (IEP), instruct assigned students, supervise students participating in curricular, co-curricular, work study activities, and related activities. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. Ability to remain calm, patient, and fair when dealing with challenging behaviors. Excellent organizational and time-management skills Proficient in using technology for record-keeping, instruction and communication Ability to work independently and as part of a team Requirements: Current FBI and BCI background checks Valid Licenses for Preschool Special Education. Must have dual General (PS-3, PS-8) and Spec Ed (PS-3, PS-12) Licenses Passage of Drug and/or alcohol screening
