School Nurse RN

Overview: Clayton-Bradley Academy is seeking a School Nurse to join our team. This position is responsible for providing general medical care to our PreK through 12th-grade students. Applicants should be comfortable working in an independent school environment, documenting visits from students for care, communicating with parents, and helping train our faculty and staff throughout the year.

Clayton-Bradley Academy expects all staff to adopt our brain-based research model of instruction that we will help supply training to learn. Qualifications: At least BA/BS in nursing with an RN certification.

Responsibilities: The School Nurse at Clayton-Bradley Academy will:

• Review health and safety protocols with leadership to ensure the safety of all students on campus.
• Maintain vaccination status of all state-required vaccines for students.
• Review all documentation related to students such as allergies, asthma, diabetes, other medical conditions, etc., and design action plans for each student that needs special assistance, train teachers on the action plan and ensure action plans are carried out.
• Give daily care to our students to assist with injuries and medical conditions.
• Administer prescription and nonprescription medications
• Train staff and coaches in CPR, First Aide, EpiPen, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens as well as any other medical training.
• Work with Camp CBA director on any students attending Camp CBA during Fall, Spring, and Summer break that may need a medical action plan.
• Be present on Camp CBA days to assist campers with any injuries or medical conditions.
• Completing state forms and reports
